Steven P. Norris

Steven has been in fund development for nearly fifteen years. Upon graduation from Letourneau University in Longview, Texas, Steven joined The Salvation Army Kansas and Western Missouri Division as Assistant Director of Development. While in Kansas City, Steven was awarded an MPA degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
Four years later, Steven transferred to The Salvation Army Southwest Division located in Phoenix, Arizona. There, he served as Director of Planned Giving and was responsible for the planned giving program in southern Phoenix, northwest Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada.
In May 2005, Steven joined the development team at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center to work with donors of the institution interested in making gifts through their estate plans. As Executive Director for Gift Planning, Steven also co-manages the planned giving program.
Steven is a member of the National Committee on Planned Giving and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy. Steven also serves on the board of the Planned Giving Council of Houston.
Steven and his wife, Kristi, have two sons, Preston and Peyton.

With business and divinity degrees from Valparaiso University and Concordia Seminary-St. Louis, Rich's experiences include career moves from being an employee benefits sales manager to a parish pastor to a planned giving specialist for Lutheran missions and ministries, the University of Denver, Concordia University Chicago, and now The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Rich has successfully refined his technical and listening skills for the benefit of charitably-minded people for 23 years thus far. Rich says, "My wife of 42 years (and counting) and I have raised five children to understand by our example that personal philanthropy to improve the quality of life for other folks brings along heartfelt satisfaction as well." He also asks, "How may I help you?"

Bobby Dean

Bobby has two decades of experience in every aspect of fundraising with over 15 years working with principal, major and planned gifts. His experience includes Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving with Houston Grand Opera and as the Vice President for Development at Cal Farley's Boys Ranch in Amarillo, Texas. Prior to his fundraising career, Bobby had a successful ten year career in the information technologies industry in software development, system implementation and business solution sales.
Bobby has a business degree from Wayland Baptist University and has certificates from the National Planned Giving Institute of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He received his Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation from the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) in 2003. Bobby currently serves on the boards of the AFP Houston, Planned Giving Council Houston and also serves on the Member and Chapter Services Committee at the international level of AFP. Bobby previously served as a member of the national Advisory Council of the Direct Marketing Association Nonprofit Federation. Bobby also served as President of the Texas Plains Chapter of the AFP and served on the national Awards Committee of AFP International.
Bobby is married to Julie, and they have four children and two grandchildren.

Joy brings more than a decade of experience in marketing, communications, branding, event planning, and public relations to The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She most recently served as Vice President of Membership, Marketing and Communications for The University of Houston Alumni Association and has gained experience in both non-profits and for-profit corporations.
Joy received her undergraduate degree in marketing and management from Tulane University and is proud to be a native Houstonian. She is an active member of the Planned Giving Council of Houston and the American Marketing Association and is a volunteer for several community organizations.
Joy and her husband Nic live in the historic Houston Heights and enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending time with their young daughter.

Cristina Fleeks

Before joining The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center's planned giving team in 2008, Cristina worked as a Occupational Medicine Coordinator. She holds a bachelors degree in Health with a Business minor from Sam Houston State University.
As Assistant Director of Development, Cristina works with The University of Texas System Offices on estate management and trust issues. Also, she works with reporting for planned giving at MD Anderson.
In her spare time, Cristina enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Geri Davis

Geri has been part of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center's development office since July 2005 and has been instrumental in supporting the planned giving team in its growth from 3.5 to 11 staff members and an increase in planned gifts from $21 million to $37 million in fiscal 2010.
She has 28 years experience as an administrative assistant/executive assistant in the fields of manufacturing, retail, education and philanthropy.
Geri lives in Friendswood. She is a part-time yoga instructor and workout enthusiast who also enjoys sailing and the outdoors.
She has one son, Darren, a daughter-in-law Cathie and one granddaughter Emilie.

Laurie Cimrhanzel

Laurie has more than 20 years of experience as an administrative assistant and has been part of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center's development team for eight years.
Laurie assists several team members with their daily activities and provides donors with information to achieve their financial goals.
Her hobbies include gardening, shopping and reading. Laurie is married to her husband Donald and is an avid animal lover, with two dogs and four cats.

Nichelle Walker

Nichelle has more than 10 years of experience as an administrative assistant/executive assistant in the field of education.
Nichelle lives in Missouri City with her husband Castro and son Blake. Aside from working full time, she is also a full-time student at the University of Houston, majoring in Sociology. Upon completing her BS in Sociology, she plans to obtain a Masters degree in Social Work.
Her hobbies include traveling, reading, and photography.
